Glen Alan Terms and Conditions
A deposit of Â£25.00 per room will secure any temporary reservations, this deposit should reach us within 14 days of the date of the initial reservation. Failure to make this deposit within the specified time may result in the loss of the reserved accommodation. In exceptional circumstances the Glen Alan may vary this condition to suit specific circumstances. Balance of outstanding payment for accommodation and services must be paid for upon arrival.
Holiday Reservation Liabilities
To avoid misunderstanding we remind you that a reservation, verbal or written, constitutes a legal contract. In the event of a cancellation both parties should endeavour to re-let the accommodation. Should neither party succeed then the person making the reservation remains legally liable to pay for the accommodation. In most cases, the legal liability can be covered by insurance. We advise you most strongly to complete an application form and return it to your consultants.
If you cancel your stay, you must inform us in writing before the arrival date. The person who made the original booking must sign the letter of cancellation. Cancellation charges depend on when we receive your written instructions prior to the date of your scheduled arrival.

15 â€“ 55 days 50% charge of the total holiday price.
14 days or less 100 % charge of the total holiday price.
Guestâ€™s may not sub let their rooms. Variations on the agreed number of persons (as originally booked) are not permitted without the express permission of the Glen Alan.
Arrivals and Departures
Guestâ€™s are requested to vacate their rooms by 10am on the morning of departure. We will endeavour to have rooms ready for incoming guests by 1pm on day of arrival. Reservations must be taken by 4pm unless otherwise agreed, guestâ€™s absence after this time, rooms may be re-let.
Special Needs and Requests
It is the guestâ€™s responsibility to clearly state any personal need or requirements at the time of making a reservation. Whilst the Glen Alan will endeavour to meet such requests we cannot guarantee to satisfy all or any such requests made.
It is the Glen Alanâ€™s policy that this is a non-smoking establishment. Any guest found to contravene this policy will be asked to leave without compensation for lost accommodation and will also be charged for any associated cleaning or repairs.
The Glen Alan Management reserves the right to evict any person/s deemed to have caused damage to property, nuisance, danger or abuse to any other guest or Glen Alan employeeâ€™s.Compensation for lost accommodation shall not apply.Any damages or loss of Glen Alan property will be charged for in full and taken from the card details given as security at time of booking.
Keys are issued on loan to guestâ€™s for their convenience and security. Keys must not be given to any other persons other than those occupying the relevant rooms, nor must they be copied. Lost keys will result in a £25.00 surcharge.
The Glen Alanâ€™s policy is that guestâ€™s may not bring pets or other animals into the property.
Glen Alan will be released from all liability to the hirer if the performance of the contract is prevented by any cause whatsoever beyond the control of the Glen Alan.
English law shall determine any disputes arising between the Glen Alan and the Hirer under these terms and conditions.
